I started selling jellies at Cheese Secrets, 38 Market Street, Niagara on the Lake. I have lived in Niagara my entire life, but I didn't know about the Secret Cheese Shop next door to the Angel Inn. Well today I am letting the secret out of the bag. You have to stop in and see for yourself.
When you walk into the cheese shop, you will be greeted with a
secret language that they use to describe the different variety of cheese you are about to sample. They begin with a descriptive vocabulary of adjectives like "nutty" "grassy" "pungent" and earthy. Describing the aroma of cheese can be difficult. You can't keep saying "It taste good" or " the flavour is strong". That's why creative words are so important for describing cheese. But it does taste yummy!
Oh! I almost forgot. I have an assortment of jellies to compliment the cheese like Peach Jalapeno Jelly, Hot Pepper Jelly and Tomato Garlic Jelly. These are a few of the selection you will find at Cheese Secrets. They make a nice pairing for entertaining. So the secret is out, stop by Cheese Secrets they do amazing cheese trays for entertaining as well as wedding cake made out of cheese. Have a jelly good day! Niagara Farm Girl.
