Under the Sycamore tree, Oh! I have always loved how that rings in my ear. The vision of a swing hanging and rocking back and forth on those hot summer nights. The woody notes and sweet earthy scent. The perfect tree that can grow up to 100 feet and create a large amount shade and a lot of fall clean up with the amount of leaves. So if you have that dream property in mind it is the perfect tree to plant. That’s enough romancing.
Well, I have some of that beautiful wood for charcuterie boards from a neighborhood tree. When I first saw the wood, under the sycamore tree was the first thing to pop into my head. The pieces of wood that I managed to get are the heartwood which is a darker reddish brown with beautiful grain throughout. These boards are a one of a kind piece of art. Just imagine entertaining with your guest and spinning the story of the sycamore tree.
